Rant Session

It feels like I have been here at ONU forever and done nothing to remember my year so far. I wake up, go to class, do homework if I have any and then lay down until it is time to go to bed. Some people would call it bed rotting and I would have to agree. I don't think I enjoy it, but I don't want to do anything else. So, blogging weekly about my life is getting extremely hard so today I just decided to talk about a lot of little things.

We will start with football, specifically watching it. The college football season has been amazing so far with competitive games, entertaining players and just overall crazy moments. I spent this past Saturday watching Alabama take down Georgia and it was probably the best way I could've spent my weekend. I know some might not agree but I prefer to just stay in and watch some football. Now the NFL season has been interesting to say the least. Almost every game in the NFL is competitive so that's no different this year. However, something is off this year and I struggle to pinpoint it. The teams that were supposed to be good are struggling while teams that were predicted to be mid are performing well. My Steelers are 3-1 almost made a comeback to be undefeated but ultimately fell short. I have a fantasy football team that is the opposite, struggling is an understatement. I am 1-3 in the league, finally got my first win this past weekend! I miss my family; I need to go one weekend and just stay home but I enjoy being here to watch football with my friends.

When it comes to classes, the homework and exams have not given me a lot of trouble but two of my classes, I won't say which ones, I dread going to. It feels like a waste of my time and every day I have to fight the urge to skip them. I still have yet to skip one but I'm not sure how much longer that streak will last. I am, however, stressing about one of my exams coming up because I have heard it is hard. And it is one of the classes I don't like very much.

Come to think of it, I don't have much to complain about. I am alive and healthy, which is really all one can ask for. Everyone has tough days or extended periods of time where they are struggling but at the end of the day, we are alive. I do not have a picture from this week so enjoy this one of a fish I caught that was unfortunately eaten by a shark :(.

  1. Well, even though your fantasy team isn't performing well, I have to give you some credit for my fantasy team's success! You set my team every week and I am undefeated in my league, so feel good about that! I am not one for going out either, I am someone who would much rather stay in and watch TV with some good food. I hope you find something that interests you on campus so you stop bed rotting. Don't skip class because then I will be even more bored!
