Wiffle Ball

    Today was a beautiful day and my friends and I like to stay active in any way we can. We play sports most of the time. We are able to involve everyone in that way. The past couple months have consisted of basketball, it has been freezing outside so it is the only sport we can participate in. One day we tried to play football in King Horn but it got stuck in the net and we had to wait a couple of days to get that one out. The idea of wiffle ball was suggested and everyone loved it.

    We went out and grabbed what we could get including all of the essentials. We did not have a strike zone though, so we had to use a chair for that. One of our friends runs a wiffle ball league back home with all of his friends, so we knew he would have everyone up to date of the rules. We had everything we needed to start playing, we found a spot in the tundra but it was still muddy outside. That did not stop us as we were just eager to be able to finally do something outside. We got teams picked and started playing. It all started good, but then the classic guy friend group curse had hit, arguing. It was about dumb stuff like whether something was a strike or if it was a foul ball. By the end no one would agree on anything, but it was still nice to hang out and do something other than playing basketball.

    Although I am no wiffle ball demon I still had a fun time just hanging out on a nice day. My bat got dented which is a little upsetting but that is what happens when you have competitors to play with. It was a really good time and we even got featured on Ohio Northern's main Instagram story which was pretty good. It was someone ripping a base hit off me though which does not look too good on film. Just a tad bit embarrassing. I think maybe next time we should just relax in the pool and go for a nice swim to avoid the arguing, but we would probably find something to fight about there too.
