Updates

Week 11 is here, and you know what that means: another blog! I say it every week, but it never changes—my life is so boring. I have the same routine every day, and I love it, but it’s not interesting enough to write an entire blog about. So, often, I scramble to find a subject to talk about. This week, I thought we’d just talk about several little topics.

First has to be Pearl. She’s been so great and makes coming back to my dorm that much better. While she’s in the “zoomies” phase and likes to play-bite and scratch, she’s still amazing. She came into my life at the perfect time and helped me get through some tough things. While she doesn’t really talk back, I make sure she knows about Isaac's issues. It’s kind of nice, though, because she doesn’t meow very often, so that’s super peaceful. She does, however, play in the middle of the night with loud toys, and that gets under my skin. She also likes to jump in my bed and attack my feet whenever they move under the covers, which can be annoying, but she’s just a baby who likes to play.

I went home the past two days, and it’s been kind of nice. I wish I went home more. Even though I only live 30 minutes away, I struggle to go home because I never feel like there’s a reason to. But just hanging out with family is reason enough, so I need to be better about that. I miss my mom, as usually when I go home, I need something from my dad's house, so I go there. I feel like my mom might think that’s personal. My sister lives at my mom’s, so I haven’t seen her in a while, either.

Well, I ran out of topics faster than I thought I would, but that’s about all that has happened this past week. I like my boring life, but it makes writing this a lot more challenging. I could not imagine living a busy life. Some people live for that and would rip their faces off if they did the things I do during the day, but I love it.

  1. Again, I am so glad you have something to keep you occupied in your room! I will just make a friendly suggestion to maybe add one activity or involvement to your plate to make your life less "boring". I know you don't want to, but it could be good for you. I am glad you went home and spent some time with family, I hope you go visit your mom and sister soon. Thanksgiving is coming up quick too!
